We just wrapped up about seven days in Ho Chi Minh City. We dedicated our time to all sorts of war-related tourism: the presidential/independence palace, the War Remnants Museum, photos with a cornucopia of assorted tanks, helicopters, and armored personal carries, etc.
My personal favorite moment was when we found the location of Thic Quang Duc's 1963 self-immolation in protest of Ngo Dinh Diem's repression of Buddhists.
One major highlight was catching up with old friends a colleagues from our time teaching in Beirut. They are now living and working in Ho Chi Minh City.
And, of course, Nana & Pops arrived for our final few days in Ho Chi Minh City!

Has there ever been a more Wade statement than "My personal favorite moment was when we found the location of Thic Quang Duc's 1963 self-immolation in protest of Ngo Dinh Diem's repression of Buddhists."? Great update Wade! What were the crustaceans? And were they as delicious as I think they look?
