The main event on Sunday was a Japanese baseball game! To say it was a little different from a baseball game in the US is an understatement. Even though both teams weren't going to make it to the playoffs the stadium was still packed, and the fans had cheers with hand gestures for each player! Also, it was a much older stadium and it didn't have the extra attractions that most baseball games have now.
We had a day off where we explored a used bookstore street. However, we had another very exciting day planned for the 30th because we got to visit Tokyo's DisneySea. We woke up at 5:45 am and took the hour long subway ride to the outskirts of Tokyo and when we arrived there was already crowds of people waiting to enter! We had an amazing time exploring all of the themed worlds like the mediterranean harbor and the lost river delta. Since we were there in the time leading up to Halloween, normal people were allowed to wear costumes and that was almost as entertaining as the actual rides.
We have had an amazing time exploring Tokyo there is so much to do and see it feels a little never ending!

What fun in Tokyo! I'm curious - what were the snacks at the ball park like?
ReplyDeleteThere were a lot of different sodas, dumplings, Turkish kebabs, and all kinds of Japanese food. We also got to have Dippin' Dots, which I'd never actually had at a Braves game before. --Jane
DeleteKebabs?! Dan Mahoney would love that. Thank you for reporting back!
